Neck Traction and Stretching Device - PosturePump

This device improves excessive forward neck and head posture, relieving neck and upper shoulder strain.  It uses inflatable/ expandable bladders to arch the cervical spine and tractions (slightly separates) the vertebrae, thereby expanding the discs in between them.  Degenerated discs in the cervical spine, if allowed to progress can cause chronic neck pain and nerve impingement, so the PosturePump is a good preventive exercise.

How to use:  Lie down with your neck over the device's deflated bladder, apply the head harness to stabilize the head during traction, and then use a hand pump to pump the bladder.  As it expands, it exerts an upward force into your neck.  The head harness keeps your head from lifting with your neck, so the net result is an upward and separating force to your neck that help restores normal neck curvature and reduces anterior (forward-leaning) head posture.  Pump it to max tolerance, and rest in that position for 20 minutes.  It typically takes several weeks of 2 to 3x/ day, 20 minute traction sessions to notice a difference.
